Arrival and departure

The dates of hire agreed between the lead guest and the owner are from 2.00 pm on your check-in date and 10.30 am on your check out date. Any unauthorised use of the holiday cottage by the hirer outside of these dates and times is chargeable as an extra cost to the hirer.

In order to secure your booking, we ask that all guests provide a deposit of £100. This contributes towards the cost of your holiday. Full payment must be received by the due date we advise you of upon booking. Please see our missed payments section for more information.

Missed payments

We understand that sometimes things don’t go to plan. If for any reason you are not able to make the payment that has been agreed please contact us immediately. We will try our best to find a solution. Missing a payment may result in your holiday being cancelled with immediate effect.

No Smoking Policy

For reasons of hygiene and the comfort of other guests, there is NO SMOKING or electronic cigarettes/vaping allowed anywhere in the cottage. If anyone is reported to be smoking during your stay you will be asked to leave immediately without a refund.

We pride ourselves on the high standards of cleanliness that we maintain in our cottage and request that guests leave it clean and tidy. We ask that any cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils that are used are cleaned and returned to where they are kept. This ensures the following guests have the same enjoyable experience as yourselves.
If, in the opinion of the owner any member of the party is guilty of conduct which is deemed to be anti-social or a risk to the health and safety of themselves or members of the public. The owner may retake possession of the accommodation immediately without compensation to the hirer.

If you bring a BBQ we ask that you remain with the BBQ at all times when in use and children should not be allowed to use the BBQ. Care must be taken when children are playing around the BBQ and BBQ area.

Cancellation Policy

If your reservation is cancelled over 6 weeks prior to your expected arrival this would incur a loss of your booking deposit.

If your reservation is cancelled up to 3 weeks before the arrival date a cancellation fee of 50% of the full holiday cost will be charged.

If cancelled less than 3 weeks before the arrival date, the FULL cost of the holiday will be charged.

If we need to cancel your booking

If in exceptional circumstances we need to cancel your booking, we will endeavour to advise you of any alternative dates or offer you a full refund.

We DO NOT accept liability for injury, loss or damage suffered by any member of the party.
We strongly recommend that you take out holiday insurance to cover accidents, losses etc. These policies are available quite cheaply from most insurance providers.
